I am an artist, designer, fashion lover, and student. Since age six, I always had a passion for art, design and everything that involved fashion. Though I pull my inspiration from the American culture that surrounds me, my primary lens as a fashionista is my family and Indian heritage. It is this push and pull between my American and Indian side that I believe gives me a unique aesthetic in fashion. And it is this process of straddling these two rich worlds of color and freedom, form and tradition that drives my passion to be a fashion entrepreneur. Fashion is a walking canvas. The personal expression, diverse style and sophistication that come from fashion are the primary reasons I want to be a designer, stylist, personal blogger. Becoming a designer and producing my line would allow me to convince people everywhere that style is eternal, self-expressive and fun. Style is an individual’s canvas. Growing up Indian American has allowed me to see fashion this way and has made fashion design my open canvas for playing and experimenting with colors and patterns. Subtotal items add up to beautiful looks that people see everyday.
