Dressed up Flannel

I love wearing flannel on a casual day! I shot this look hoping to inspire you to dress up your plaid. A lot of people think plaid or flannel is for men, or can’t be dressed up but I am here to prove you wrong! I love layering plaid button downs under sweaters, tied around my waist for a grunge look or just with a simple shift dress. More and more brands are coming out with tops that range from the most basic prints and colors to crazy colors and patterns. I recently discovered Garage and it is becoming my favorite store to shop at for some really amazing basics! This particular one is an amazing color combination that is perfect year round, but more importantly it is extremely comfortable. I love to layer with sweaters, and this olive-green color sweater from BP Nordstrom is a perfect balance to the print, and brings and amazing texture to the look.

I love to balance different types of textures in my daily looks because i think it creates some eye-catching and unique. Here I paired a textured sweater, python bag, heavy gold metal, motorcycle jeans, and patent boots that all play really well with one another because they have common colors.

An Italian Getaway

Here’s is another travel inspiration! Italy was probably one of my favorite trips. The food was amazing and each city was absolutely breath taking. We did about 8 cities in two weeks and it was incredible. As you can probably tell, I am dreaming of warmer weather and the only way to fix that is dream about an amazing vacation.

xoxo have an amazing day and thanks for stopping by!

Travel Inspo!

Hey Guys! Sorry I have been so MIA, school has been so crazy. I just want to check in and let you guys know some exciting stuff is coming to the blog in the upcoming weeks! So while I’m stuck in the cold, studying….I have been dreaming of warmer weather. With Easter break slowly approaching I want to share a little travel inspiration for any jet setters out there.

St. Maarten is probably one of my favorite beaches to visit with the family! It is such a breathtaking island, that is quite but still has so much culture and excitement. We stay at La Semana and it is a gorgeous resort with rooms on the beach, looking out to the crystal white sand and clear blue water. It is the perfect place to really relax and enjoy the sun!

What I love about this island is the town of Philipsburg. It is such a cute town filled with boutiques and a boardwalk that looks out at the water. Though it is a small island, the food is great. My favorite place is Panlann Thai!

I shared some pictures of my time there! Wishing for spring xxx

Freshen up!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite Spring/Summer drinks! Its fun, colorful and so refreshing!!

1. Sparkling Water

2. Ginger Ale

3. Organic (Low Cal) Lemonade

4. Frozen Strawberries

5. Mint

1. Blend Ice, Strawberries, mint and lemonade (I use a Magic blender because it works well for small servings, but any blender works well)

2. Pour frothy, ice mixture into jug making it half full

3. Fill a quarter of the jug with Ginger Ale

4. Fill last quarter of the jug with sparkling water

5. Serve with frozen fruit or ice

6. Enjoy!!

Spring is around the corner…

I know it has been a while since I’ve posted…school has been so busy! This is one of my go-to day outfits! It is the perfect transition from winter to spring (especially because the weather has been beautiful the last couple of days!). I love the print of this Free People sweater, it reminds of something I would find in India which I really love. The boots bring out that beautiful brown color in the sweater, where as the white balances the whole outfit.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

It’s here! I am so excited about today’s post…I partnered up with Dressometry, and it was an amazing experience. Dressometry makes your search for that perfect dress quick and easy! I love to shop online but to go through millions of sites trying to find the right dress gets tiring; Dressometry has created a more personal dress shopping experience to help find that perfect dress without wasting time.

Ever since I can remember, dresses (and shoes!) have been my favorite pieces. I have more than my fair share of dresses, but there’s always room for more! Despite the season, I always try to incorporate a dress into my daily outfits, because let’s be honest pants can get a little tiring after two months. However, sometimes finding the right dress whether it be for the day, or an event can be extremely hard. All of these frustrations and endless searches became so much easier when I was introduced to Dressometry! Instead of looking at over a dozen of my favorite sites, Dressometry has compiled many great sites to help find that perfect occasion dress.

How did I find my perfect dress?

I have a weakness for the perfect LBD, but I wanted something that could transition from day to-night. I went to Dressometry and focused my search with just a few clicks, using their filter tool. I wanted something flowy, simple yet elegant but still affordable. What I love about Dressometry is they pull from great websites that young women, like me, would shop at. After my filtered results had come up, I was immediately drawn to a black, Lovers & Friends dress from Shopbop (on sale!). It was exactly what I was looking for…the the perfect day to-night dress!
