Slide1 I love wearing my silk scarves as headbands because there are so many more options to choose from. This Leonard scarf is the perfect combination of summer colors. Leonard has beautiful scarves that range in traditional and contemporary prints.

This dress is very popular, why wouldn’t it be! Its simple and easy to wear, that’s why I love it. Because the back is so low I wanted to add something different. Bralets are my favorite item to have in my closet, not only are they comfortable they come in so many designs. I paired an Urban Outfitters daisy textured bra let with the dress.

I just love the color in today’s outfit! Playing with complementary colors in your daily look is always an eye-catcher. I mixed greens, reds and corals for todays outfit. My mom bought me these amazing Fendi wedge like heels a while back for my birthday and I just can’t get enough of them. The geometric design and uniqueness is to die for. I paired it with a green Fendi tote to pull from the dark color in the shoes and to add a pop of color! The dress is a fun piece for the spring and summer because it’s just the right color and cut. I bought this dress from Century21 years ago and never really loved it because I wasn’t too fond of the collared neck, however when it was styled right I really fell in love with it. Every fashionista has to own a beautiful brooch in her closet (and if you don’t go buy one!) because it is a lifetime staple piece. Everyone wears dresses from day-to-day but I wanted to change the look by wearing a brooch on the collar (another reason I love the look so much more). The brooch is unexpected and adds a touch of sparkle. I didn’t want to over do the accessories so I stacked two gold bracelets and kept the look fairly simple.

Subtotaled Tip of the Day:

Do NOT be afraid to mix colors! Try wearing colors that complement one another, because it can make your outfit more interesting and bold.

Do NOT wear all of the same color! You don’t want to end up looking like you rolled in a puddle of paint.

Have fun with it! It’s ok if you don’t want to overload on color, start small and build from there…

Brooches I LOVE:

I love the simple combination of white, navy and red without it looking patriotic. This printed H&M dress is my new favorite because it comfortable and I can wear day or night. What I am really obsessed with are these white Valentino flats! They are so unique and give the illusion of anklets because of the strap, a truly fun way to dress outfits up. I love this Panama hat from JCrew it is perfect for the summer! To accessorize I added a few rings and my favorite Tai bracelets that I love to stack.

Work outfits in the summer can be easy and hard at the same time. After a weekend in the Hamptons and a cloudy morning I opted for my favorite black BDG pants from Urban Outfitters. I paired them with a white button down that I tied together at the bottom and black Jimmy Choo wedges. What I absolutely love about today’s look is the necklace. This JCrew neon statement necklace is fun, unique and makes the outfit anything but dull. JCrew always has some very fun necklaces that fit into anyones wardrobe. To add some more color I tied this beautiful Hermes scarf on my purse. Scarves are a fun way to accessorize because you can really do a lot with them. Whether it is putting it around your neck, wearing it as a headband or even tying it on your handbag scarves can add color, texture and print to any outfit.

As the summer is coming to an end, I am starting to find more transitional pieces for the fall. This Free People tapestry shift dress is one of my favorites (along with everything else free people sells)! This dress screams fall while also catering to the warm summer weather. The dress alone is a statement, but I wanted to add a chunky gold necklace. This layered necklace from Tory Burch is perfect because it isn’t too shiny, there isn’t a lot going on and the coins adds to the spanish flare style of the dress. My mom just got this amazing Chanel bag and I couldn’t be more obsessed. I love the how it can change any look from being edgy to elegant. Color is huge for the summer!! These pink flats are anything but boring and give the outfit that extra spice of color.
