White Summer Suit

Slide1

A white suit can be tricky to wear…but I revamped the “classic suit look”. I paired a simple white blazer with a white skirt to stem away from the standard pant suit look. When wearing a suit people tend to keep everything neutral, and keep everything safe! But where is the fun in that… So instead I added a pop of color. I use to hate yellow and now I am slowly bringing it back into my wardrobe. Yellow can be hard but I like that it makes the white pop. The yellow top also brings out the specs of yellow in my Manolo Blahniks. The shoes and the bag are kept understated so that the suit is the eye catcher. If you remember I wore this necklace on a previous post. I added this Auden necklace to add depth to the solid colors. This look was worn to work, when working in the fashion industry business attire can be broken from its strict rules and made into something of your own, something stylish and fashion forward.

Keeping it Casual

Here’s a fun way to put together a casual outfit! I added some simple accessories to dress up the look. I wore my Armani watch with two Alexis Bittar bangles and added a camel Hermes belt.

Yellow Fever

Yellow from head to toe, I love this full yellow ensemble. Most people find it hard to wear yellow because they think it doesn’t suit them, it looks strange or it just isn’t the right color. I’ve found that if you wear it the right way, you won’t get enough of it. I paired this vintage shaded yellow top with a mustard yellow skirt that I bought in France. I paired it with a Givenchy bag and snake-skin Valentino studded flats. I added purple stone rings to contrast from the yellow, gold Michael Kors watch and Chanel sunglasses.

Tip #3

I don’t know about you but I have always hated how denim shorts have fit, rid up, and even shrunk. Even though I love the look, this summer I have had a more comfortable and stylish way to wear shorts. Though I can’t ever let go of my denim shorts and I do wear them from time to time, these alternatives are always fun to try.

2. Raga Printed Shorts, revolveclothing.com

3. Acne Studios Kira Silk Twill Printed Shorts (on sale!), saksfifthavenue.com

4. Pins and Needles Chemical Lace Pull On Shorts, urbanoutfitters.com

These are a few of my favorite loose-fitting, comfortable fabric shorts for the summer. Don’t be afraid to try different prints, bright colors and varied lengths. Be daring but most importantly BE YOU!

Highlighter Pink

I kept today’s outfit simple, adding a little color adds so much life to a simple black bag and black crop top. This Victoria’s Secret neon pink maxi skirt is perfect for the summer. It works well with both black and white and makes it fun.

Accessories are key to any outfit. Today I added touches of silver accessories that tie well together with my black patent Chanel bag. I usually don’t wear black handbags in the summer but this one pulls together the whole look, keeping it fun, flirty and perfect for summer.
